We were so looking forward to doing the ferry thing down Kariba Dam from Kariba to Victoria Falls. An ‘old salty dog’ we spoke to said that ‘in the good old days’ there were two ferries on the Lake every day, one going up and one going down, every day the year and one had to book 3 months in advance.
Anyway, we decided to do the 1,000kms to Victoria Falls via the midlands of Zimbabwe.

The initial plan was to visit the National Park but one has to obtain permits at some or other place which we had already passed and they couldn’t tell us the cost. It would have meant back trekking to get the permits and then another 100kms or so to the gate.
This all sounded too complicated so we headed for Shinoyi via Karoi.
Being in different places
Being in different places makes me feel relaxed.I am so piteous to those people who are exactly finding difficulty about their freedom.Billy the Kid was an outlaw and a killer but was stopped when he was shot dead on July 14,1881 by Pat Garrett. Nearly 130 years later,governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico has supposedly considered granting a pardon that was assured to Billy the Kid by New Mexico's governor before he was gunned down by Garrett. News of Richardson's potential pardon of Billy the Kid angered Garrett's descendants, who are calling it an insult and defamation of their ancestor.
