Travel Blog #29 - The Falls and NP

We booked the afternoon ferry which is a 3 hour round trip up the Victoria Nile to the falls.

The ferry leaves not far from the Red Chilly Camp Site so we took a walk down to the river.

The game park is on the opposite side of the river. We didn’t bother with a game drive because once again private vehicles must be accompanied by an expensive game ranger. It is just another way of milking the tourists.

On the way to the falls one can see most of the animals in the park in any case. Plenty of Buffaloes.

Hundreds of Hippos.

Interesting cliffs.

Murchison falls in the distance. We could not get any closer because not long after this the traditional afternoon tropical storm broke out and we had to turn back.

The following morning on the way back we stopped at the view site on top of the falls.
