Travel Blog # 26- Lake Bunyoni to Queen Elizabeth NP

From Lake Bunyonyi we headed for the Queen Elizabet National Park next to Lake Edward and Lake George.

A bit of a milestone.

The Queen Elizabeth NP with the Ruwenzori mountains in the back ground.

Nice view of Lake Edward on the left and Lake George on the right.

A crater lake en route.

The Kazinga channel where you pass between the lakes. Locals fishing from the bridge.

Well, we were not prepared to pay another $110, excluding camping fees, for one day in the park so we decided to camp outside the park. We found this Simba Lodge just outside Kasese. We were surprised as it was not on the Tracks-4-Africa maps and waypoints. $5 per person and excellent facilities. Then it was on to Kampala via Mbarara and Masaka. They are working on this road so it was another bone-jarring 8 hours.
